What to consider when looking for a dog bed for your pup:
#1) Size of Your Pet:
Here is a general “Dog Bed Size Chart” to determine an average size bed for your pet.
As always, please refer to the size charts for each pet bed Brand and Bed Style as they all tend to be different.
Please remember if your pet likes to sprawl, go up a size.
How to Measure your Pet:
Step 1: Measure the Length of your pet using a cloth tape measure or string
- Pet should be standing
- Measure from tip of the nose to the top of the tail
- Add 6 to 12 inches for plenty of room to sprawl
Step 2: Measure the Width of your pet using a cloth tape measure or string
- Measure your pet from shoulder to shoulder at their widest area
- Add 6 to 12 inches for plenty of room to sprawl

3) How old is your dog and how much support is needed?
Older dogs tend to have joint problems and arthritic conditions that may cause them to need more support and have beds that are lower to the ground. We have a great selection of orthopedic dog beds to suit the needs of your aging pup.

4) Other things to consider when buying a pet bed is the care instructions. Be sure to look at the product description and see the individual care instructions for each brand. Most of our pet beds have removable covers that can be easily washable.
